Dear Parents,
Well, we are in week 3 of term 3 and I must say things are moving quick and strong!!
A few updates:
Starting today, morning lines have taken effect. Grades 1-3 have been saluting the Flag and singing the National Anthem. The students are taking it very seriously and this has give our mornings an energetic start. Please go over the Anthem words with your child (some are just humming to the music :))
For those who have not yet received their child's Mid-Year report, please write a note to your child's teacher requesting it to be sent home.
KG-Grade3 students (and their teachers, including me!)had a wonderful time on our Sitara Theatre trip. The music and the performance were sensational and many of our students took part in acting out Cinderella.
Grade 3 students, had an interesting and very informative time at the Fire Station. As part of Social Studies and studying community services, Grade 3 paid a visit to El Rehab Fire Station. The Firemen helped the students understand the hazards of fire and the different extinguishing processes. Students showered the men with questions and were introduced to the inside of the fire truck with a demonstration on how it works!!!
Grade 3 are currently writing thank you notes to the firemen for their great patience in explaining all this to them and for their hard work in helping everyone stay safe. We will be sending these notes to the fire station as a thank you on behalf of EAIS students and teachers!!
Our talent show is coming up!!!! everyone should be practicing for auditions. This year and based on an amazing show last year and so many parent requests we will run 2 shows. One in the morning for all EAIS students and teachers, and another one in the evening for parents..Please encourage your child to participate.....it always turns out to be quite an event:)
Keep tuned to more updates
